Yearly School-Wide Programs
Pennies for Patients
In previous years we participated in Pennies for Patients campaign, as well as Change 2 Make a Change (a program the 5th grade Be the Change Club came up with to benefit one of our staff members). One of our very own staff members had been diagnosed with lung cancer and had to go through ongoing treatment. As a school, we have been able to collect and donate over $8,000 over the past three years.
OSU/Michigan Food Drive (leading up to Thanksgiving)
Each year we collect non-perishable items for the OSU/Michigan food drive, the week leading up to Thanksgiving break. Over the past two years we have been able to donate the collected food to the Knights Have Your Back program, here at Otsego Schools. Everything donated goes right back to students and families in the district, because after all, we are all here to support each other.

Red Ribbon Week October 23-31st
Red Ribbon Week 2019 is the week of October 23rd-31st! This is a week where we focus on being drug free and taking care of our bodies. This year's national theme is "Send a message, stay drug free." We have a kick-off fair on Monday and also have daily dress themes for the week. Students are eligible to earn prizes if they wear their red ribbons all week ( which they will receive on Monday) and participated in the daily dress themes. We also had a Hygiene Drive for the Otsego Food Pantry. We collected items like soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc. to donate to those in need in our community, so they can also take care of their bodies!
