School Counselor's Duties
|
According to the American School Counselor Association (ASCA), a school counseling program is in line with the educational and instructional purpose and mission of the school. It is supported by school wide involvement and collaboration to benefit students, teachers, administrators and the entire community. It is intentional, preventative, responsive and data-driven.
The school counselor helps to create a safe learning environment and provides students K-12 with academic, career, and personal/social support to help them become the successful adults of tomorrow. |
