Hello and welcome! Thank you for taking the time to visit our counseling website. This is a great way to find various information, resources, and keep up on our twitter feed (even if you do not utilize the website). Below you can read a little bit about each of us. Please feel to reach out to us with any questions or concerns! Go Knights!
Miss Martinez: is the new Co-Elementary School Counselor at Otsego Elementary School. Prior to working at Otsego, Miss Martinez worked at Botkins Elementary School in Botkins Ohio as an Elementary School Counselor and EMIS support personnel. Miss Martinez obtained her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo and her Master’s in Education in School Counseling from Bowling Green State University. In her free time Miss Martinez enjoys paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing and reading. She is recently married and is looking forward to settling down in the Northwest Ohio region! Miss Syrowski: is currently in her third year as school counselor at Otsego Elementary and is very excited to grow the counseling program with the help of Miss Martinez. A little bit about me, I am a graduate of Bowling Green State University's Master's of Counseling programming. I graduated with specializations in School and Mental Health Counseling. For the past five years I have also worked as a mental health counselor, treating children and adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, and mood disorders, among other things. Working with students, staff, and parents has always been a goal of mine, as I believe in early intervention as the best tool for success. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family (pictured on the right) and friends, watching the Cleveland sport teams (Go Browns!), playing sand volleyball, and reading. You can typically find me wandering downtown Toledo, enjoying the waterfront and revitalization of the city. |
